thetripster:

In a recent study with 30 healthy volunteers that were given psilocybin (the hallucinogenic substance in magic mushrooms), researchers at Johns Hopkins University have proven what many of us have known for decades: Mushrooms expand our consciousness & allow for transcendence.

Anonymous asked:
About washing your hair with baking soda and apple cider vinegar.. I tried doing that 3 or 4 times in a row but my hair was never ever clean afterward! :( I really wanted to do that, and give up shampoo, but my hair’s super thick and super oily, and it’s a horror story after 2-3 days, and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Help please?

You are so lucky to have thick hair! I don’t think you are doing anything wrong. Perhaps your scalp produces excess oil. If your facial skin is prone to greasiness it is very likely that your scalp will be as well. Unfortunately there is no quick fix for an oily skin that I know of, at least nothing that will regulate the flow of sebum as you want it, permanently. What you can have control over, is your diet. Diets which contain a large amount of protein and processed foods and sometimes too much fried foods, often produce the oiliest skin. But sometimes it is just down to hormone activity being a bit out of whack or genetics.

Try this, it might be a little drying but nothing you can’t handle if you follow up with a good conditioner:

In a large bowl of water/sink, add the juice of one lemon, two tablespoons of salt, 3/4 cup of baking soda and 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (plain white vinegar will do as well). Using a smaller bowl, scoop up the mixture and pour through hair, allowing it to soak. Agitate the scalp slightly to remove dead skin but not too much because you don’t want to aggravate your skin and cause skin sensitivity. Repeat this rinsing motion until your hair begins to feel really clean and you can see the water in the large bowl/sink become murky. When you are done, wrap your head in a shower cap and leave the solution on for a further 10-15 mins. Rinse thoroughly in warm running water. If your hair still feels a little greasy, follow up with another rinse but only using the baking soda. Afterwards moisturise your hair (not your scalp) using a rich conditioner aimed at repairing hair or you can make your own by mashing together one banana, one advocado and a spoonful of organic honey.

No, you don’t need to use cold water. I also cannot take the feeling of cold water on my skin. The reason why some people finish off a shower or a hair wash with cold water is because they believe it to be stimulating, closes pores, anti-aging and adds extra shine to hair.

Hope this helps a little. Best of luck beautiful lady! Peace <3
